Chief Growth Officer

Matt Floit is Chief Growth Officer at Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, LLC (SEIA), where he leads business-development efforts and advances the firm’s organic growth client attraction strategy. He works with SEIA’s leadership, advisors, and strategic partners to strengthen the systems that support sustainable growth, including advisor productivity, client experience, brand positioning, and referral relationships.

With more than 30 years of financial-services experience, Matt brings a deep understanding of the independent-advisor marketplace and the operational demands of large, growing advisory firms. Before joining SEIA in 2025, he spent three decades with Charles Schwab, including service as an Officer of the firm and Managing Director within Schwab Advisor Services. In that role, he led sales teams that focused on serving and consulting independent advisory firms as they navigated growth, scale, client-service expectations, and long-term strategic priorities.

Matt’s approach to business development is also shaped by his fascination and study of transpersonal psychology and how it applies to trust-building in the early stages of an advisor-client relationship. In his experience, most prospects walk into a first meeting silently asking the same one question: why should I trust you? He believes the deciding factor isn’t a pitch or a résumé of credentials, it’s whether the prospect leaves the conversation with that question answered. That belief shapes how he works with SEIA’s advisors on early client conversations: using carefully crafted thought provoking questions, with very few scripted talking points, direct listening and a clear communication approach to help the client fully understand and own their financial and tax problems.

At SEIA, Matt’s focus includes identifying and developing organic client attraction opportunities, supporting business-development initiatives, and strengthening the firm’s established RIA referral-network relationships. His perspective is grounded in the belief that durable organic growth requires coordinated execution across the advisor experience, client experience, and the systems that connect prospective clients to the firm.

Matt also works directly with SEIA’s advisors to sharpen how they define and communicate who they serve best. Using a structured exercise built around each advisor’s strongest client relationships, he helps advisors identify the problems they solve most effectively and align their business-development efforts around that focus rather than a generalist I work with every type of investor approach. He has built a repeatable framework for first client conversations, designed to name a prospect’s actual problem clearly and explain the proprietary process SEIA has built over the past three decades to solve it. From there, he develops individualized centers-of-influence strategies for each advisor, connecting custodial referral programs, CPA and COI alliances, and AI-driven lead generation to the specific client problems that each of our firm’s advisors are best positioned to solve.

Matt entered the securities industry in 1994 and holds FINRA Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 qualifications.
