Michael DeJohn is a Financial Advisor with SEIA. He counsels a select group of corporate executives, professionals, business owners, and other high-net-worth individuals and families on a wide range of wealth management issues. Due to his extensive background, Michael also focuses on business succession planning for small business owners. Unique to Mr. DeJohn, is his specialty in helping families with end of life planning. As a Licensed Funeral Director, he understands this process and the expenses as it relates to planning. He is a Registered Representative at Signature Estate Securities.
Prior to his starting as a financial consultant for SEIA, he was the Founder and President of DeJohn Financial Consulting Group, LLC, an independent firm specializing in business development for small and mid-cap companies. For over 35 years, he has spent his career working for Fortune 500 companies. Including, being a top executive of a large privately held international manufacturer of molded and extruded products for over 12 years. Mr. DeJohn has also served his country in the United State Army as a Captain, Aviator, and Military Intelligence Officer.
In addition to his work at SEIA, Mr. DeJohn sits on the board of many local organizations and has been actively involved in local high school and college football officiating for over 47 years.
Mr. DeJohn received his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Bowling Green State University (BA, 1976). He has continued his education at Harvard Business School completing the Program on Negotiations and at the Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Business in Planning and General Management.
Mr. DeJohn resides in Highland Hts. and he has three sons, and three grandsons. He is active with his family and enjoys golfing, cycling, fishing, and traveling.
