Matthew Hathway, MBA, MA, is an Advisor at Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, LLC (SEIA). He works with individuals, families, organizations, and companies on the financial decisions that shape long-term security, retirement, and family well-being.

Matthew’s practice is particularly relevant to clients navigating the financial realities of aging, elder care, dementia, and changing family-care needs. He helps clients consider how investment strategy, retirement income, insurance, healthcare costs, estate planning, and family responsibilities can work together within a coordinated wealth-management plan.

Before entering wealth management, Matthew spent nearly 15 years in healthcare management, including eight years as Executive Director of assisted-living and memory-care communities in Southern California. This experience gives him a practical understanding of the questions families can face when a loved one needs care, and the importance of preparing thoughtfully before decisions become urgent.

Matthew’s approach is grounded in helping clients make informed choices during life’s more complex transitions. He works to bring clarity to the financial decisions that affect clients and the people they care about, connecting a family’s immediate needs with their long-term goals and legacy priorities.

Matthew earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Northridge. He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Louisiana State University, Shreveport. He holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and is a licensed California insurance agent, California Insurance License #4273913.

Matthew lives in Ventura, California, with his wife and two sons. Outside the office, he enjoys surfing, hiking, travel, and coaching his children’s sports.
