John P. Keenan, CFP®, AIF®, C(k)P® is a Managing Senior Partner in SEIA’s Virginia Office. His practice focuses on investment management and overall wealth strategies for affluent individuals and owners of government contracting businesses. John’s practice is one of the D.C. area’s leading 401k retirement teams, proudly helping participants of all income levels to achieve financial independence.

John has been in the securities and insurance industry since 1996. He currently serves on SEIA’s Investment Committee, which meets monthly to analyze current trends in the fixed income, equity and alternative investments markets.

For many years, John and his team have been involved on behalf of their clients with many local charities including: Fisher House, Washington Jesuit Academy, DC Central Kitchen, Northern Virginia Conservator Trust and Toys for Tots.

John grew up in Potomac, Maryland and lives in Kensington with his wife, two sons, and two dogs. John received two degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park from the college of Arts and Sciences. He is a proud supporter of his high school alma mater, Georgetown Prep.
