Dan is the President & CEO of Market Street Financial Advisors, LLC., and its sister company, American Philanthropic Advisors, LLC. Dan’s mission is to “provide wealth management for people who want to add meaning to their money.” To fulfill his vision, Dan focuses on using charitable remainder trusts and life insurance to create strategies for wealth accumulation and preservation.
He is the author of three books: Avoiding the Estate Tax Trap (Contemporary Books, 1992), Don’t Die Until You Read This! (American Books, 2001), and The Power of Leveraging the Charitable Remainder Trust. Your Secret Weapon Against the War on Wealth (J. Wiley & Sons, Inc. 2009).
In addition, Dan has published numerous articles on estate planning and has been the subject of features in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, and numerous other newspapers and magazines. His witty banter and concise presentation of complex ideas make him a welcome guest of radio and TV talk shows. He regularly speaks at national events on various financial topics.
He received his BA in English and Journalism from Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA in 1978 and achieved his Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation from the College for Financial Planning, Denver CO in 1984.
Dan lives in Bethlehem, PA where he spends his time with his wife, their nine grandchildren andhis faithful dog, Sophie.
