Howard Slater is a Financial Advisor at SEIA and a Partner in the firm’s practice of Mannen, Munday, Slater and Bar-Shain. Mr. Slater focuses on financial planning for executives from Fortune 500 companies, closely held businesses and government agency employees. Prior to joining SEIA, Mr. Slater served as director of operations and regional director of financial planning for Cleveland Financial Group, as well as lead instructor for the firm’s training and development program.

Mr. Slater received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. He earned a Master’s of Science in Financial Services degree sponsored by The American College. He has served as a (FINRA) panel arbitrator and earned the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation, a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) certification and the Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA) designation. Mr. Slater is a Registered Representative with Signature Estate Securities, and Investment Advisor Representative with SEIA, SEC Registered Investment Advisors.

Mr. Slater’s co-authored book, “Plan of Action-Strategies to Help You Build and Preserve Wealth”, is a popular “how to” primer for financial advisors as well as business owners and other executives. Mr. Slater has authored or co-authored several other papers. He has served on Lincoln Financial Advisor’s National Planning Committee and Securities America’s National Advisory Council. He also has spoken at several, national financial planning conferences and wealth management forums.

An ardent volunteer, Mr. Slater has taught financial literacy courses for youth for various religious and educational organizations.
