Edward M. DeTomaso, CLU^®, ChFC^®, is a Senior Financial Advisor at Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, LLC (SEIA). With financial-services experience dating to 1979, Ed helps individuals and families address the investment, retirement, income, and estate-planning decisions that shape long-term financial security.

Ed’s work is particularly focused on clients approaching or living in retirement. He helps clients consider how investment strategy, retirement income, taxes, insurance, estate-planning priorities, and changing family needs can work together to support the lifestyle they want today and the legacy they hope to create over time.

His approach is grounded in the belief that retirement planning is an ongoing process, not a single event. Ed helps clients maintain perspective through changing market conditions and life transitions, with attention to the relationship between portfolio strategy, income needs, risk management, and long-term goals.

Before joining SEIA, Ed served as a Financial Planner with Cleveland Financial Group. He began his career with Prudential Financial in 1979 and has shared insights on retirement and financial-planning topics through articles and community commentary.

Ed earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Kent State University. He earned the Chartered Life Underwriter^® designation in 1992 and the Chartered Financial Consultant^® designation in 1999 through the American College. He is a Registered Representative with Signature Estate Securities and an Investment Adviser Representative with SEIA.

Ed served as President of the Cleveland Association of Financial Service Professionals from 2000 to 2001, following seven years of service on the organization’s Board of Trustees. A native Clevelander, he lives in Russell Township, Ohio, with his wife, Debra, and their two children.
