Bill Collopy, MBA, CMFC®, AIF® is a Senior Financial Advisor at SEIA, guiding clients through every stage of the financial planning process. Since joining SEIA in 2011, he has focused on investment planning and wealth management, applying technical analysis for portfolio risk management. Bill develops customized portfolio strategies, conducts due diligence, and monitors investment performance, with an emphasis on assisting retirees and near-retirees in planning for their long-term financial objectives.
A lifelong resident of Orange County, California, Bill enjoys golf, scuba diving, and skiing. As an avid photographer, he enjoys traveling the world with his wife, camera in hand.
Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Satellite Imagery from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master of Business Administration from Chapman University. In 2015, he earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation after formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility from Fiduciary360. The following year, he obtained the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor® (CMFC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. He also holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and is a licensed insurance agent (CA Insurance License # 0I25302).
