April Rosenberry, JD, LLM in Taxation, is the Director of Estate, Tax, and Financial Planning at SEIA.
April has been a tax attorney for over 25 years, with expertise in transactional and litigation matters. With Bar licenses in California and New York, she has experience drafting complex estate plans, structuring companies, advising on taxation issues, and supervising estate administrations. In court, April has acted as an expert in litigation cases. She has represented banks, corporations, trustees, and handled numerous will contests and estate litigation cases.
April has extensive experience developing departments for companies seeking to expand their client offerings. She has created and managed teams of attorneys and professionals at law firms, financial institutions and wealth advisory firms for the purpose of assisting clients with estate transfer and wealth preservation matters.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from CSUN in 1995. In 1998, April received a Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law where she was on the Dean’s List, and, in 1999, a Master of Laws in Taxation from USD School of Law.
April has been featured in Modern Luxury magazine, recognized by attorneys with a Trifecta Award for “hard work, smart work, teamwork,” and designated a Five Star Professional. In addition to podcast, Bar Association, and seminar speaking engagements, she has published scholarly articles for both the American Bar Association and the ACFLS Journal of the California Association of Certified Family Law Specialists.
She is a member of County Bar Associations, Probate Attorneys of San Diego, Tax & Estate Planning Forum and the PHS Foundation Board. April provides pro bono legal services for first responders through Wills for Heroes. She enjoys yoga, performing arts, and traveling with her husband and their children.
